Im going to LA/Anaheim in a couple weeks. It's my first time out there. Any suggestions on what I absolutely must do and see? I know that my friend and I
are definitely going to Disneyland/California Adventure and Universal Studios. But we are open to all suggestions. Thanks!

You should walk along Hollywood Boulevard! That was one of the most fun things I did when I first got to LA

Go up to the observatory to get a great view of the city. You might also get to run into some cute animals. I've seen a bunny and a deer (who almost got
hit btw) the last time I was up there

Well we have already decided to do the tourist stuff.. such as the chinese theatre, rodeo drive, etc. I think we are going to Manhattan beach too. We were just
trying to get a feel from the locals and see what they would recommend. Pretty much anything, maybe things tourist don't really set out to see.

It's so dirty, smells like urine, is full of stores that sell stripper clothing (literally...I'm not just talking slutty clothing, I am talking about clothing actually marketed towards strippers), there are way too many retarded tourists (please don't be one of them). It's basically like Times Square only dirtier and with less to do. I would much rather go to Venice Beach if you want something touristy. I also agree about the Griffith Park observatory. |

The one time I went to L.A., I went to the Getty Museum. It was pretty awesome. Beautiful place with great views of the city.

I'm the opposite of Peach, I enjoy Hollywood Blvd. Especially in the morning right before tourists and at night for people watching.
Other places I like are: Beverly Hills around Canon Dr. or S. Beverly. West Hollywood - La Cienega to Doheny on Santa Monica Blvd. Melrose from LaBrea to about Fairfax or so. Arclight Cinemas for a movie if you are into that. Farmers Market (avoid the Grove part) If you go to Santa Monica, I like the Promenade, 17th street area, Montana. My current favorite places to eat are Le Pain Quotidien (WeHo), Boraan (Beverly Hills), O!Burger (WeHo). Though if you go to Hollywood and Highland, UWink has OK food, but decent drinks that are cheaper than most places in the area. Also, get an Elephant card for Hollywood and Highland - http://www.hollywoodandhi...ormation_elephantcard.php |
