I've got a free day there, and I've done all the monuments/memorials/Smithsonian. I wanted to go to Monticello (been to Mt. Vernon), but it's too
far.
What's something that's cool and interesting? |

the masonic temple in alexandria is kinda neat. its like a replica of the washington monument, but dedicated to the masons.
gunston hall... its down the road from mt. vernon. it has an interesting history as well. the spy museum, the "newseum".. national harbor is supposed to be nice. it has a cirque du soleil show and shopping/dining. its in oxon hill. i'll keep thinking though

the museum of crime and punishment looks way cool. I'm going to be going there soon.
Also- National Harbor is beautiful. Georgetown for shopping. |
