I love that he has the freedom to try new things. As for him caring how we feel? Why should he care? It's his life and I would think he'd want supportive fans, not bitchy, whiny ass fans who only want music and then even when they get music (i.e. You Ruined Me, Until Yesterday) they bitch because it's not his type of music. If I were JC I'd tell us all to go to hell.

Now we have the JC that will openly glare at the paps and make snarky comments. The Meh JC is sort of refreshing from the one we had for a long time.

The cut off Archie's album is proof of that. Sucks for us that someone else is singing it, but JC doesn't seem to mind, he's still doing what he said all along he loves best... Being in the studio, making music. There's more to putting out an album than simply throwing it out there. JC is apparently not the type of musician that feels comfortable hyping himself. As for the paparazzi that accompany promomtion, JC has shown us that he doesn't like them. Damn straight I'd love another album. But, not at the cost of seeing JC being miserable again.

It's not all Eric's fault. I didn't say that but I would think after a poorly promoted debut and a second album that was shelved, I would begin to question my choice of manager but that's just me. I mean I think it's great that he left Jive but it may be time to start leaving other people too. But, who knows? Eric could've worked his ass off to try help JC but the record label just wasn't budging. I don't know the details so I guess at the end of the day, if JC is happy then I'm happy.

Sometimes there are side agreements that tie artist's hands for a certain period of time. I'm wondering if there might be something like that affecting Kate, like he could take the music with him but couldn't release it until a date certain, agreed to by both parties? Someone in this forum is a lawyer. Maybe they can make sense of what I'm trying to say.

A non-compete for a certain period of time. We obviously don't know the details but I guess it's plausible. I really just have to say I like seeing JC happier lately. In the past year I think we've seen more pictures of him with that boyish crinkly eye grin than in the previous 4 years.

He could always put on a smiling face when he needed to. Not that candids, event pictures or whatever really mean much about what he's feeling in the grand scheme of things anyway. I actually feel like we see more of his frustration/discontent with what he's doing professionally now more than ever in the chat's he did during Dance Crew. He just seemed to be putting up such a front.

His smiles before never reached his eyes at all, now we get crinkly eyed JC again. I don't think any of us are saying we know what he is feeling we just think he looks more at peace with himself, like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulder. Before he just looked worn out. I don't necessarily think he is putting up a front either. I just think he doesn't want to answer some of the questions about his music and such because of all the times he has before and it never happened. I think he's come to the conclusion it's best to say nothing over something that doesn't happen like he said.

I guess I just can't read people, but I'm surely not going to base my impression of his mood or his outlook on life at the moment on a few pictures. I mean, really.
