Football, basketball, baseball, even hockey, everyone would come out of their homes and go to Hart Stadium, just to watch the town and Pontpoint High School's star player Shawn Hart. A young, tall, slim guy with brown hair and brown eyes to match. He had the looks, the attitude, and the star power to make it to the pros for any team and for any sport in the states. All the girls wanted him. All the guys wanted to be like him. And all the parents wanted him as their son. He was perfect. Shawn had the perfect girlfriend. Nicole, a blonde hair, blue eyes, short and thin cheerleader who's life ambition is to save the world. Charity and giving back to others is what Nicole did best, except for one person. Isabelle. Isabelle Issie, known as only to Shawn is Shawn's best friend. Issie, tall, slim young girl, who has black hair and green eyes, is a bit of a loner. She has the grades to go to any college she wanted to. But for a chance to leave the town she so despised very much so, she couldn't do it with Shawn. Issie didn't care what people thought about her, but when it comes to her personal life, she didn't people to know. Issie and Nicole's family are rich and belong to the country club. Only Issie' parents stand her, like Nicole's parents did her. Issie would often climb into Shawn's window at night when things to hectic at home. Shawn and Issie were very opposite, but very same. Issie grabbed her bag and began to walk down the steel steps of the bleachers cause her boots to go clunk, clunk, clunk as she stepped down. A tall, dark man, who wore a black trench coat started to follow her, but when she turned around, he stopped and cheered on the team. Issie walked off the bleachers and quickly walked to her car. The guy followed her and when she passed by the dark entrance to the school, the older man knocked her to the ground. The sound of her piercing screams collided with the sound of fans cheering with the win of the team as the older man repeatingly hitting her in the face causing her to black out. R&R

Chapter 3 The smell of cigarettes and alcohol filled Issie's nose, the sound of birds chirping filled her ears. As she struggled to open her eyes, memories of the night before flooded her mind. Moaning and groaning as she set up, noticing she was half dressed covered in dirt and sweat. She tried not to cry as she felt the battered bruises on her face and body. She stood up to get dressed and noticed blood coming down from in between her legs. Despite her soreness, she quickly ran to her car and got in. R&R

"Iss, you home?" asked Shawn calling out "Iss?" asked Shawn climbing the stairs toward Issie's bedroom. Shawn opened the door and the vision at Issie laying on her bed with her back to the door, hugging her favorite stuffed animal, a duck that Shawn won for her at the town's fair when they were thirteen years old, filled his eyes. "Iss?" asked Shawn "Go away, Shawn." Said Issie "Are you okay? You left last night before I got to see you." Said Shawn "I had stuff to do." Said Issie "Are you okay?" asked Shawn "Yeah. I'm fine, Shawn." Said Issie "Then why wont you look at me?" asked Shawn "I just don't want you to see me right now." Said Issie "Did you get in another fight with your parents?" asked Shawn "No. I haven't seen them." Said Issie "What's wrong?" asked Shawn "Nothing." Said Issie "Isabelle." Said Shawn "Don't call me that!" yelled Issie turning around and facing him revealing her battered and bruised face "Jesus Christ, what the hell happened to you?" asked Shawn walking quickly to the bed "Nothing." Said Issie "Obviously something happened." Said Shawn "Nothing. Leave me alone." Said Issie "Issie, its me. You can tell me." said Shawn "Its nothing." Said Issie "Issie, please tell me." said Shawn gently touching her shoulder "Don't touch me!" yelled Issie "Okay. Sorry. Tell me what happened." Said Shawn "I cant. Its too embarrassing." Said Issie "Issie, its me. I know more about you then anyone." Said Shawn "I was attacked last night." Said Issie getting up and walking to the window "What?" asked Shawn "Please don't make me say it again." Said Issie "Where? When?" asked Shawn "After the game at school." Said Issie "Who was it?" asked Shawn stepping behind her "An old guy who sat behind me last night." Said Issie whipping the tears from her eyes "Did he?" asked Shawn "Yes." Said Issie turning around and sobbing on his shoulder "Oh my God. I'm so sorry Issie. I should have been there to protect you and I wasn't there." Said Shawn sniffling as he held her in his arms "You won the game and were celebrating." Said Issie "I know." Said Shawn "You cant tell anyone, Shawn. I will hurt you so bad." Said Issie "I wont. You know I wont." Said Shawn "Oh God. I hurt so badly." Said Issie "I know. Have you been to the police or a doctor? I could drive you." Said Shawn "No." said Issie pushing herself out of his arms "You really need someone to talk too." Said Shawn "No Shawn. I have you to talk to. I don't anyone in this town knowing what's going on in my life anymore. You can't tell anyone." Said Issie "Okay. Okay. Your secret is safe with me." said Shawn "Thanks." Said Issie "I still wish you would let me take you to a doctor." Said Shawn "No. I'll be fine. I'm just very sore right now." Said Issie "Oh. Do you remember anything?" asked Shawn "No." said Issie "Not even what the guy looked like or the sound of his voice? Anything?" asked Shawn "Shawn, please don't do this." Said Issie "You can tell me. I'm not a cop. I'm not a doctor "I'm your best friend who wants to help." Said Shawn as Issie starts to cry "What I tell you, doesn't leave this room." Said Issie lowering herself to the floor as she did when she felt iceoculated "I swear to God, Issie." Said Shawn sitting on the floor in front of her "I don't think he talked to me, but he did cheer on the team a lot. He was very tanned, not like George Hamilton, but kind of like some of the WWE Wrestlers." Said Issie closing her eyes, and picturing the guy who took her life away from her. "Yeah." Said Shawn taking her hand. "He had on a Carolina Panthers hat on and black jeans, a white shirt on, and a black trench coat." said Issie looking down at the floor "Yeah. How tall was he?" asked Shawn "He was over six feet tall. Taller then you, and he was in his forties, maybe fifties." said Issie "Yeah." said Shawn "I tried to hit him, but he straddled me legs and grabbed my wrists. I screamed so loud for help, but no one came to help me." said Issie "The crowd last night was so loud, it was almost deafening. No one could hear you." said Shawn "He hit me so hard. I remember that." said Issie "Yeah." said Shawn "When I woke up, I could smell him. Alcohol and cigarettes. I still can smell him and it sickens me." said Issie crying as her tears fell on her face and her shirt "I know." said Shawn gently stroking her back "I hurt a lot. Not just my face, but everywhere. I hurt so bad, Shawn. I cant even move sometimes." said Issie crying as Shawn wrapped his arms around her and held her. A few minutes gone by of nothing but their breaths, sniffles, and the sound of a clock ticking. Tick. Tick. Tick. "I deserved it." said Issie quietly as she whipped her eyes and nose on the collar of her shirt. "What?" asked Shawn "I deserved it." said Issie "What? No one deserves to be raped, Issie?" asked Shawn "But I did." said Issie "What makes you say that?" asked Shawn "Maybe I was a bitch to too many people and this is how they get me back." said Issie "By raping you?" asked Shawn "Yes." said Issie "Iss, rape is the second worst thing anyone could ever do to a person. Why would anyone want to do that to you?" asked Shawn "I don't know. God Shawn, I hurt so much. Everywhere. At least I stopped bleeding." said Issie "Bleeding?" asked Shawn "Yeah. I was bleeding when I got up." said Issie "Bleeding where?" asked Shawn as he followed Issie's eyes down "Oh my God. Iss, you got to go see a doctor." said Shawn "No Shawn." said Issie "Look at me. Listen to me. I have a plan." said Shawn "What?" asked Issie "I'll take you to get checked out at a hospital in Charlotte or South Carolina where no one knows us." said Shawn "I don't know, Shawn. They might call the police." said Issie "So? Listen to me, I'll go with you. I wont leave you. I promise." said Shawn "I swear to God, if you leave me, I will hurt you." said Issie "I promise." said Shawn R&R

People walking in and out of tall building at a fast pace. Cars weaving in and out of traffic. Charlotte was not the same place that Shawn and Issie were accustomed too. Only a few times has the two young best friends been to Charlotte. Only for hockey, wrestling events, and their tradition trip to the Ice Capaids every year. "How much longer, Shawn?" asked Issie weakly shifting uncomfortably in the seat. "Not much longer. The place should be up here according to the directions from the Internet." said Shawn "Okay." said Issie laying her head back, and hugging his letter jacket. "Are you okay?" asked Shawn "I think I hurt more now then I did before." said Issie "We're almost there, Issie." said Shawn taking her hand and rubbing his thumb against her soft tiny hand. R&R

"Do you want me to get you a wheelchair or can you walk?" asked Shawn opening the door "No. I think I can walk. Just help me please." said Shawn as she put on some sunglasses "Yeah. We should have taken your car. Take it easy." said Shawn as Issie stands on the step and shakily falls into Shawn's arms "Whoa. Are you okay?" asked Shawn "Yeah." said Issie putting on his letter jacket "Are you sure you don't want a wheelchair?" asked Shawn "No. Come on." said Issie walking slowly as Shawn puts his arms around her waist R&R

"May I help you?" asked a nurse in a neon pink shirt on smiling sweetly at Shawn and Issie "Do I need an appointment or can a doctor see me like soon?" asked Issie as her face scrunched up in pain "Well, usually we prefer you to have an appointment, but I can see you need someone right away. We can have a doctor look at you. What happened to you, Miss?" asked the nurse "I was raped last night." whispered Issie as Shawn put his arms around her, so she wouldn't fall "Oh. Your name?" asked the nurse "Isabelle Petty." said Issie "Do you need a pillow to sit on?" asked the nurse "No thank you." said Issie "Do you know how long it will be before she sees a doctor? My friend is in trementous pain." said Shawn "I really don't know, but when a doctor is available, we'll let you know." said the nurse "Thank you." said Shawn as he and Issie walk slowly to the empty chairs R&R

I'm not leaving you." said Shawn Staring up at the ceiling, and counting the blacks dots of the tiles as she bit her bottom lip and squeezed Shawn's hand forcing herself not to scream, while the doctor examines her. "Just relax." said Dr Johnson "Please hurry." said Issie as tears fell onto her cheeks and Shawn whipped them off. "I'm almost done." said Dr Johnson and Issie cried out in pain as she bit her lip causing blood and saliva to pop out "You can sit up now, Sweetie." said Dr Johnson taking off her gloves and getting up "Okay." said Issie as Shawn takes her hands and gently pulls her up "There is a very large amount of entry and damage. Have you been to report this to the police?" asked Dr Johnson "No. I don't want anymore to know." said Issie "We are from a very small town and if anyone ever found out what happened to her, things could be said and done to her in our town." said Shawn "Usually I have to report a rape, just so they will catch the guy, but I will make an exception. I can tell you have been through a lot in the past two days that can last a lifetime." said Dr Johnson "Thank you." said Issie "Can you give her anything for the pain?" asked Shawn "I can. I'll write a prescription for painkillers." said Dr Johnson "When will the pain stop?" asked Issie "In time. Were you sexually active before the rape?" asked Dr Johnson "No. I was a virgin." said Issie quietly, too embarrassing to look at Shawn "Okay Sweetie." said Dr Johnson "Can I go now?" asked Issie "No. I want to test you for any diseases and pregnancy." said Dr Johnson "Diseases?" asked Issie "Honey, in rapes cases, usually the rapist doesn't wear any protection and since you are not on the pill. We have to test you for everything." said Dr Johnson "Okay." said Issie "When will she get the results back?" asked Shawn rubbing her back gently "Ten to fourteen days." said Dr Johnson "Is there anything she needs to look for?" asked Shawn "Bleeding. If the painkillers don't work in the next two week, call your regular gynecologist." said Dr Johnson "No. You don't understand. We come from a town where everyone knows what's going on with everyone, including my family, and they talk about it for years. Knowing that I was raped is the last thing I want to hear from these people. I cant tell my doctor." said Issie "Honey, I'm sure your doctor could help you. Its a doctor/patient confidentially." said Dr Johnson "There's only one person in this room that I trust and that's Shawn. You and your nurse are the only people that know and that's all I want to know." said Issie "Okay. You defiantly have a good friend." said Dr Johnson "Yeah. After he got off the phone with Nicole, he had taken a walk down by the pond beside his house, just to clear his head and to give Issie some privacy. Shawn's family are the richest family in Pontpoint, but they don't live like it or act like it. Shawn knocked on the bathroom door. "Iss, you okay?" asked Shawn and she didn't answer "Issie?" asked Shawn knocking on the door harder and no answer "Iss, I'm coming in." said Shawn opening the door The sight of her sitting naked on the floor of the shower, crying, and with water splashing on her, broke his heart "Oh Iss." said Shawn as he turned off the water "God, you're ice cold." said Shawn grabbing towels as she started to shiver "Come on." said Shawn wrapping her up with towels the best way he can and picking her up "I'm sorry." said Issie as she puts her arms around his neck "Its okay. Its not your fault. None of this is." said Shawn sitting her on a closed toilet seat "I'm so scared." said Issie as he did his best to dry her off "I know." said Shawn "I can see him in my mind." said Issie "Yeah." said Shawn kneeling in front of her as he dried off her legs "I can still smell him on me. Alcohol and cigarette. I feel like I cant get that smell off of me. Just I like used to." said Shawn "Yeah. When I first started sneaking out of my house at night cause my so called parents used to fight.
