3 Dead In Santa Clara Office Park Shooting

SANTA CLARA (CBS 5 / KCBS / AP) ― Police searched Friday evening for a gunman who shot three people dead at a Santa Clara office park.

Building #7 in the office park at 3255 Scott Blvd. near Octavius Street was cordoned off following the shootings.

Santa Clara Police Lt. Mike Sellers said two men and one woman were killed inside that building around 4 p.m.

A manhunt was underway for the shooter, only described as an Asian man. Authorities said they were interviewing potential witnesses to hopefully identify the suspect.

"I don't know a motive," Sellers said. "We still don't know who the suspect is."

About 40 officers combed the area looking for the gunman. But it was unknown whether he was still on the office park campus, which is located between the San Tomas Expressway and Bowers Avenue.
