Ad Spending Continues to Grow
The Wisconsin Advertising Project reports that Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama spent over $28 million on television advertising over the last week -- $17.5 million for Obama, $11 million for McCain and the RNC.All of McCain's advertising was negative as compared to about a third of Obama's ads.
Notes project director Ken Goldstein:
"Ten of the fifteen states where both candidates are advertising were won by Bush in the 2004 election. The campaign is being played on the Republican
side of the field this year."
