Neosporin is a secret that really works. If you have a zit especially that popped but is still part dry and part angry put a thin layer of neosporin on it overnight, it heals and is an antibiotic all in one.
It never makes it worse, it always helps.
Caladryl clear works on tiny whiteheads, dries them right up. It doesnt have to be the pink stuff.
I also love regular witch hazel. I use it right before I go to sleep, I take a cotton pad, soak it with witch hazel, and rub it all over. Its great for clearing the skin and regulating natural balance. Its pure and natural and has been used for years and years.
Finally, I will say that I do an aspirin mask once a week. Take ten uncoated generic aspririn (uncoated tablets are cheap, get the generic ) with some hot water, enough to make a thickish paste. You can do this in the palm of your hand. Aspirin has natural salicyclic acid, just like in zit medicines. I often add some aloe vera gel to this, or some of the queen helene mint julip mask. You cant mess the proportions of this up, just add as much as you want to make a mask-y feel to your concoction.
Put all over face, careful around mouth and eyes and nostrils. Leave on for up to five minutes. Wash off with warm or cool water and your skin will be GORGEOUS. Smooth and healthy and pores will be smaller.
It acts as both an exfollient (the aspirin grains are gritty) and as a zit preventive and healer.
Sometimes if I have a bad zit I dissolve just one aspirin into paste, then put in on the zit overnight.
