I'm excited to see Britney too.
I found this on ubritney.com, they also say she is changing 6 times. Rumor: Russel confirms Britney as a performer in new VMA commercial This is getting more and more confusing by the minute. With Larry denying everything to MTV pushing hard to make us believe she'll perform. Who to believe? Maybe Larry just wants to maintain the surprise effect or maybe MTV is still using Britney's name for promotion. I just want the show to start so we can know! A new commercial in which Russel Brand confirms Britney as a performer for the VMAs started airing on MTV a few hours ago. I haven't seen it for myself yet so I can't confirm. |

I was flipping through channels and whatever was on mtv had something on the bottom of the screen that said Britney opens the show.
Where are the VMAs at this year? Last year's style was horrible with people performing in their suites and in clubs. |

I heard Britney is opening ..
if anyone is interested in Jonas' performance this is what they are doing ... - If you don't know yet, the song that they're playing is Lovebug. - The performance will NOT be live tomorrow. They're going to tape it a little bit in advance, in case there are any mistakes and they have to reshoot it again. - Here's how the entire performance plays out: A taxi drives up with Joe in it. He gets out, the taxi pulls away, and he sits down and joins Kevin and Nick on some steps in front of what looks like an old New York-style building, and they appear to be by themselves. Then, they begin playing Lovebug. Near the middle of the song where the drums/guitars/everything else suddenly starts, the building suddenly "breaks" apart, revealing the band and a stage behind them. Then, fans start to pour in from all directions and crowd around the stage. |

Their performance won't be live? How lame
I'm excited for Britney to be involved, even if she doesn't perform. She will obviously win her first VMA so she's able to make some type of "comeback acceptance speech" |

The whole show is actually outdoors on the Paramount lot. My friends were there for rehearsal yesterday.
