Cleaning make-up brushes |

I think someone has already posted something on this topic but I'm too lazy now to go through all the pages to find it. I was wondering about cleaning my
make-up brushes. I just got a set of 15 about two and a half weeks ago but I never cleaned them yet and I've used them about at least a dozen times so far.
I'm not exactly sure what to use to clean them. Can anyone help? I'd love to know.

Seriously, it's not that complicated.
Wash your natural hair brushes at least once a month with whatever shampoo you use, then add a dab of conditioner and rinse. For the taklon brushes (foundation, concealer etc.) any old soap will do as they're synthetic and will not benefit from 'special attention'. Squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry. |

Is it recommended to wash brushes before using them for the first time?

Thanks for the info. I don't buy baby shampoo but I might get a small bottle and try it sometime. I tried the technic you posted BweeUTeful and it worked
pretty well.

I just use a face wash (I use the light blue bottle of neutrogena face wash which removes makeup) and have been doing so for years. When I worked for sephora
they had 'brush cleaner' but I never used it for my brushes at home. Needless to say I've had the same brushes for years!
