"Brandy has enjoyed her association with the program," said the singer's rep, Courtney Barnes. "However, she felt she couldn't give the new season the attention and commitment it deserved."
The R&B singer faces a possible misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge as well as two wrongful death lawsuits stemming from a fatal Dec. 30 crash in Los Angeles.
If convicted, Brandy could be sentenced to up to a year in county jail.
The second season, which premieres May 29, will feature Osbourne alongside judges David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan. The NBC show will be hosted by Jerry Springer.
Brandy's departure was first reported by TMZ.com.
