^ :lamo Did Baron Davis talk him into doing this?
"Triple X. When one X isn't enough." "It's ba-nash. It's a no brainer." And I love the defensive mentality the Lakers have been playing with to start the season. Hope they keep it up for 80 more games. |

The photo shoot one kills me. I love Zoolander, and he's definitely channeling Derek.
I'm excited for the Mavs tonight. I didn't get to see them play during the pre-season, so this is my first glimpse of the post-Avery Mavs. Please don't suck. |

The Houston Rockets have the best team nobody is talking about.
Yao Ming and Ron Artest are getting it done. 30 points and 13 rebounds for Yao Ming against the Mavericks. Ron Artest added 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals. Tracy McGrady is playing hurt, but still contributing as well. With all due respect to the Lakers, the Rockets bench is every bit as good. Rockets are going for 3-0 tonight against the Thunder. Rockets play the Celtics on Tuesday Night and the Lakers next weekend. Time to prove to the NBA world they're for real! Houston Rockets - Hey Ya! |

lol are you not watching or reading sports news or something? I'm from LA & other than the Lakers and Celtics, they are all talking about the Rockets.
the only reason why these two other teams are being talked about more is because they both came from a Championship run.

Steve Nash is a fool.
Yeah, game would have been more fun if 1) We didn't lose, and 2) We weren't in the fucking away section of the AAC (who knew there was one), and weren't sitting in front of two enormous douchebags. UGH. Douche Rockets fans behind us at the basketball game, and 4 douchetastic assholes for Minnesota at the Hockey game. It would be nice to be surrounded by home crowd fans at a game this year. Just once. |

The Houston Rockets may be the only team in the Western Conference who can match up with the Lakers at every single position, not to mention depth wise off the
bench.
The Jazz and Hornets can't beat the Lakers in a seven-game series. The Rockets just need to stay healthy! As Charles Barkley said, the Rockets are the ultimate wild-card team. They can be really good and win the NBA Championship or they can blow up and fall apart due to health reasons, which would result in another first-round exit in the playoffs. I liked the way the Rockets out-executed the Mavericks on the road the other night. The Rockets are 3-0 and host the Celtics on Tuesday Night. It may be election night but it's a possible preview of the 2009 NBA Finals! Dallas fans and San Antonio fans realize they're no longer the best team in the state of Texas. The Houston Rockets have surpassed both of them, talent wise! |

Kristen, did you hear?!?!? 2010 All-Star Game in DALLAS!!! I'm there. No ifs, ands or buts. My ass will be there, if I'm not already living in Dallas
by the time that shit comes around. I'm SO EXCITED about it!!!

Yeah. I want to go, but I doubt I'll be able to make it happen. Have to wait and see once it's closer.
I think Rockets fan is setting himself up for disappointment. |

You have a year and 3 months to work it out.
I'm saying nothing about the Rockets. I'm still bitter we lost the first game of the season to them; but at least we weren't the only ones to lose the first game, so yeah.

Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady are two fragile superstars, but at least Ron Artest is the toughest SOB in the league. I love his energy, tenacity and mean streak. Ron Artest is adding another element the Rockets have been lacking in recent years. Rockets are 3-0 and have a huge game on Tuesday Night against the Celtics. The Rockets also go on a long West Coast road trip next weekend, which will include games against the Lakers and Clippers. I'm not even afraid of the Lakers, Hornets, Jazz, Celtics, Cavaliers, Pistons, Spurs, Suns, Mavericks... Etc... Etc... Because I know the Rockets have the talent to beat any of them. Rockets are still without Shane Battier ( arguably a top three defensive player at his position ), but once he returns in two weeks, they'll have the best defensive team in the NBA. Ron Artest has already been flashing brilliant defense. |

when did that happen?? I actually enjoyed seeing "Sexyback Mountain" post. but I welcome the same awesome sarcasm JC Wears Manties brings.
the Rockets... if they stay healthy, if, if, if. Rockets fans like to throw that around as much as the media does. |
