Do they all have that vanilla smell to them? I think that's the smell..lol some kind of sweet smell...Because some of my older ones don't really have
that smell. Does that mean they are bad? It's probably a dumb question. lol

They all have the vanilla smell, yes. Just because they don't smell like that anymore it doesn't necessarily mean they're bad. If they smell
rancid, throw them out. If not, they're fine.

Yeah, as long as they don't look weird or smell funky they're ok! I have some that I have had for a few years, and they're still perfectly fine.
