I remember spending hours in front of the mirror making sure my paper-bag-waist jeans were bunched up just right. Those were awesome and need a comeback.
Though I can't imagine they did much for my no-ass-having self.

Can you post a picture of what you're talking about?

I can't find an appropriately awesome photo online... basically, it's jeans with an oversized waist, slightly high waisted, and you cinch them with a
belt so that you can hike the waist up a few inches above the belt and it gathers at the top and kinda sticks up like a paper bag.

I've seen a couple paper-bag waist skirts and L.A.M.B. did a pair of paper-bag trousers.

They have to have been somewhere, to come back.

Me, too, Hug It. But some pants had those lower beltloops to really accentuate the baggedness.

Z-Cavariccis were flip-top jeans. More of a fold-over than a blouse-up. Same timeframe, though.

I've been looking too. I remember Slater on Saved by the Bell wore a pair a time or two. And they were acid wash

The best thing about the ones I wore in high school was that the legs were regular, not overly baggy like thoke on MKoAO. It really accentuated the flatness of
the ass and the awesomeness of the waist!

Oh my god. Our head cheerleaded totally had the cowprint sew-on chaps with a matching fringed jacket.
And, if that floral denim get-up were a 3-tiered miniskirt and the jacket was a suit-style vest, I totally had that and called it my "Debbie Gibson outfit." |
