I don't care that you want to be friends with "worldly" people, but cutting out an entire groups of people just because of their level of

Okay, so here's a hypothetical situation for you.
I attended a community college my first semester (as I was anticipating a relocation and didn't want to get into a serious program and then have to relocate to a new state), but ended up earning my Bachelor's from a 4-year school. Am I one semester less educated/witty/charming/wordly than you (or anyone) because I attended a community college for that length of time? You're using education as a crutch to isolate yourself from other individuals. Chances are, you set this standard/requirement as a means of making yourself feel better about some insecurity you sport. The thing is, you're logic is flawed. I suggest opening your mind and your heart a little more, and removing yourself from the pedestal you've placed yourself upon. I'm sure there are a fair share of those who have received higher or more numerous degrees than you. You might reevaluate your stance on this. |

Ummm, a woman who graduated from and taught at MY community college (albeit years and years ago) wrote a chemistry textbook that most 4 year universities
use(d). Also, I'm more wordly and well read than many of my friends who already have degrees, and started a job with a friend (who has her bachelor's)
and am making more money than she is.
Maybe you should have left that out. |
