I never put words in your mouth. You said it was "especially" unforgivable due to the amount of time they have been married, but I just think it's equally unacceptable at any time during a marriage.

It *really* did. That sucks so bad. I agree that you shouldn't wait until you catch them at it again. You're just gonna get hurt even worse. I'm betting the friend that gave her the emails isn't too worried about getting outed, cause she obviously thinks the friend doing the cheating isn't worth keeping a secret like that over. But you know if mutual friend wants it know she's the one who outed them. If she doesn't care, then definitely tell them about the emails. Either way you have better chances of getting this over quickly (annullment or divorce) if you use the emails in your case, so they'll come into play eventually. I'm really very sorry this has happened to you.

Yes, I read that, thank you.

yet I still find it odd that you originally posted it asking for advice on how to stay away from someone that tempted you.

That confused me at first too (I think I posted on that somewhere in here ) but now I'm guessing TennMann probably just didn't want to say that this was all happening to her at first, hence she passed it off as hypothetical and didn't explain that she'd be the cheated and not the cheater in this situation. I think that just led to confusion as people then looked at it from the cheater's point of view until she told us all the truth.
Yea, I guess I just couldn't imagine getting cheated on and then posting something that would lead people to respond with things directed towards the other party? Instead she pretended it was hypothetical and posted it from the cheater's perspective. Sort of an odd way to get advice.
