I hate it when people say stuff like that. When is it acceptable?

I hate it when people put words in my mouth that I very clearly never said. I said it was unforgivable and then added as an addendum that the shortness of the time it's taken him to become an adulterer was a particular kick in the teeth. Since when is calling something unforgivable a suggestion that it's ever acceptable? Or has that word suddenly changed meaning since I last used it?
Honestly, I wonder what's going on in someone's head when they read one thing and assume it to be its opposite.

I think every cheating situation is different and while NEVER acceptable I think a man who sticks his dick in another woman...on the honeymoon is different from a faithful husband of 10 years who has a one night stand during a rough patch between you two. I would be a lot more forgiving to man #2.

I never put words in your mouth. You said it was "especially" unforgivable due to the amount of time they have been married, but I just think it's equally unacceptable at any time during a marriage.
