If she wasn't so much of a California, sun kissed, hippie chick, then maybe these shots wouldn't look so weird. But they look weird and she's not
that good of an actress to pull it off.

W/the exception of the airbrushing and the oh so obvious not the color of her lips in that shoot ... That cover is hot. I love how they did her eye makeup.

My problem with the shoot (after having read the interview) is that she always comes across as this wholly likable, carefree but has her shit together kinda
girl, and those pictures are so, so contradictory to any of that.
 Which would be fine, but it's about as equivalent to me as having her play a serial
murderer or something. Doesn't work.
The cover is great though. |
