I haven't seen anything. I know it was suggested by SM, but I didn't think anything was official yet. |

I can't find it right this minute, I found the link to it on twilighted yesterday. IMDB has released that filming for NM begins in January. I hope they
abbreviate the Jacob parts, or well at least it will be like the old days when they had intermission during movies.

Ugh. I will be extremely impressed if they manage to make any decent kind of film out of New Moon.
I definitely think they leaked MS to try and weigh up if the fans would react the same way they did to BD |

I'd love to see New Moon as a film. It's my favorite in the series because of Jacob's character and the werewolves.

I am excited to see twilight but as for the other films the only scenes I really want to see are when Edward tries to Show Bella the benefits of a king size
bed and when Bella punches Jacob...

Have we all seen that Stephenie has posted the FAQs for Breaking Dawn and finally come up with an answer for how a vampire can impregnate someone?
Shame she neglected to do so in the book when it was pertinent... |

The first seed (no pun intended) was planted when I did Bella's computer research in chapter seven of Twilight. Bella reads about several real vampire legends-the Danag, Estrie, Upier, etc. In the novel, I only mentioned a few of the many legends I read through. One that I didn't mention at this point was the entry on the Incubus. The unique feature about that legend was that the incubus could father children. Hmmm, I said, and I filed that kernel of an idea away for later. When I decided to write the first sequel to Twilight (Forever Dawn), I knew it was going to revolve around a hybrid baby from the outset. This is the part that makes me frustrated. If she had just thrown that name out--it wouldn't have meant anything to me at the time, but then when they mentioned it again in BD, I wouldn't have been so surprised. Because she intentionally kept that out, it was like she was adding facts for convenience. Any creative writer will tell you that what you write at the end of the story, better have a good explanation beforehand. For example: If your hero has to defuse a bomb, you better show that he has that skill or that he has help before that point in the story. Otherwise, it'll be unbelievable to the point where the readers will stop reading. I feel that that's what Stephenie did. |

Possibly I'm just a cynical cow, but I get the feeling that this explanation is recent and has been written to make it sound like it was the plan the whole
time. Otherwise I just cannot see why she would have excluded this pretty vital information from at least BD even if she didn't give it a sneaky mention in
Twilight.

From the Wall Street Journal article:
One publishing executive unaffiliated with Mrs. Meyer or Little, Brown said he thought that Mrs. Meyer might have overreacted to the partial posting. "I think it's an extreme decision," he said. "When music stars have stuff leaked on the Internet, they don't junk the entire album." EXACTLY! |

My main issue with BD is that it turns into not only a different story, but almost a different genre. Where Twilight, NM and Eclipse were basically these romanticized tales of this girl falling in love (with a boy who just happens to be a vampire and the complications that ensue), BD is like full on Anne Rice bad Canadian detective series crap with a complicated mythology and family tree. You said it yourself SM: Bella and Edward's relationship has always been DEFINED by the fact that he is a vamp and she is NOT. So changing
tone in book four made sense how exactly?
