Yes, SM went to a random former NSYNC message board to spread that her book sucks.. to what, increase the sales? Totally logical.
It got like 2.5 stars on Amazon. I want to see SM explain this stuff. More than that, because I can see her justifying it like it doesn't matter if she is the only one on the planet who loves it.. I want to hear why an editor would have OKed this stuff. |

Did you hear that Edward injects the venom into Bella with a syringe?
Yeah, that screams vampire. Honestly, I hope she catches hell at the next stop on her Breaking Dawn tour thing. |

Yeah, I heard that.. its so randomly stupid. Neutering the vampires.. but hey, we get tons of weird gore with the pregnancy?
I just read someones review who thought it was perfect. I don't know.. not saying people can't like it but if you had no WTF moments at all I'm kind of unsure if we read the same series. Ohh, and I'd like to someone to video tape her if someone actually starts asking her some logical questions about what the storyline was about. I'd really like an explanation of how much of this was actually from her second book that never got out because I'm guessing a lot of it was.. it makes more sense why there is a lot of OOC stuff. |

She can LIE and say she changed this book, but it's completely Forever Dawn with little pokes here and there to remind you that New Moon and Eclipse
happened.
This was like Mrs. Dalloway, but infinitely more shitty. A bunch of stuff smashed together with no real plot to speak of. She's an English Lit grad, and this is what she came up with? I know she said she didn't intentionally foreshadow and stuff like that, but English major to English major, she may need to go get a refresher course, pronto. ETA: Oh, and they wanted her to write NM because B/E were too young to get married, right? So...explain to me why they decided married and immediately pregnant was a magnificent idea.

JUJU! So glad things are getting better with you and that you are alive and well. Thanks so much for all your work.
YES! I want SM to be literally ATTACKED by rabid questioners at the next book signing. I want answers! |

For real. Saying you intentionally don't foreshadow is just a way to explain away plot holes by trying to sound like it was planned.
This book was totally Forever Dawn. It gives Bella everything she wanted with basically no sacrifice involved. Yes, she made the choice before she knew that.. but it cheapens the struggle. As soon as I read about Jacob imprinting on Nessie it was obvious that this was some Forever Dawn BS. Half the reasons its creepy is that we have seen book after book of him clearly wanting to tap Bella's ass. Now, if he was just some minor character who was a friend of the family that ended up doing the imprinting its at least 50% less gross. Just the whole mutant baby plot would have made more sense right after Twilight assuming SM never talked about how all their fluids were gone.. than it does after several books of Bella deciding that no matter if she loses all conventional things she still would rather be with Edward. I mean, its fluffy and if people enjoy it I'm happy for them because its infinitely better to be satisfied then not.. but it doesn't make sense with New Moon and Eclipse thrown in. |

Uh, yeah! And Jake wanted that shit. If you need any more proof of that, go check out the scene with Jake and Edward. You don't typically imagine having
sex/children with someone you don't at the very least LUST after. So then I'm supposed to swallow imprinting on her INFANT child because "it's
not romantic right now."
But then again, I've only read 303 pages.

Ugh, I don't even know if this is worth finishing. It makes me sad.

Exactly. It makes much more sense if her original intent was Jacob just being this family friend of Bella's.. and yes, I still think the imprinting is
gross. Plus, I hate how its all like you lose your sense of self once you imprint. All that matters to you is that one person. I read somewhere that another
series has imprinting but its written like its a choice..and you don't even know if you have imprinted until after you have sex with someone. The whole
losing yourself and your free will isn't romantic to me at all.

Jackie, you paid for it, you may as well finish it.
And imprinting may be somewhere else, really? Did she come up with any of this herself? Is any of this junk original? I feel like a jackass. I should have quit at Twilight. |

Yeah, I think I only have a little over 100 pages left. I'll admit that there were some good parts, but most of it so far has just been too much or so
unexpected.
I really don't care the imprinting deal and I was somewhat liking Jacob before that happened. |

Yeah, I'd finish it if I paid for it. Maybe it picks up.
Yeah. Apparently its in Sherrilyn Kenyon's books about vampires. I'm not sure if it applies to vampires in that series or what.. but apparently there is nothing original about it. And it was done better somewhere else. I mean, it would be less creepy to me totally if they had no idea she was imprinted upon but way, way later when time has passed they fall in love or some BS. It would still be creepy if you throw in Jacob's Bella lust but if he had just been a friend that doesn't sound so bad. I feel stupid too. I'm like, 24 years old. My friends were like, weren't you going to go get that book you were talking about this weekend? I'm in grad school so I just wanted some fluffy fun mindless summer reading but it still has to actually make sense. |

I don't even remember what I was expecting to read. I just know this was most definitely NOT what I was expecting.

I think if SM's plan was to dissolve the Twilight fan base, I think she'll have done a good job. I can't even imagine them trying to make a
movie out of Breaking Dawn. I don't even think I want New Moon.

Ugh, I finished it. I don't know how I feel. I still feel... not complete.

I think the main thing that made this a "fail" in most people's minds is that it was completely OFF from what she had been leading up to.
Overall, like I've said, I don't think it's THAT bad (not the best and it could have been much, much better) but it's DIFFERENT from what most
people thought would happen. All of her other books had a "realistic" type of feel because they all dealt with human instances --- school, work,
activities interactions etc. --- but this book is almost all fantasy. It just had a different feel to me, compared to the other ones, and that was the most WTF
thing out of everything. This book also didn't have that slow drawn out simplistic writing with a BAM event in the end. It was kind of random, like
everything was just thrown at you.
I think even if this is how she wanted it to end she could have thought about the time line a little better. If it at least felt like the other books I don't think people would have minded what happens to each character in the end. |

Hi! Somebody knows when i can found scans from chapter 16 (or more) of Breaking Dawn?

I just finished. I haven't even touched JJB since Monday. And I really wish I would've so I could've saved myself from the EPIC FAIL that was
Breaking Dawn.
WTF? My extended reaction is at the Coven. But for being so stressed out about spoilers and so excited about the book, I cannot fathom why I acted like such a fucking idiot all week. Stephenie Meyer has failed us all. Whatever this book was, it was a complete pile of burning shit. Everybody was so completely out of character. And seriously a SPAWN baby? I could not believe what I was reading during Chapter 7. Complete disbelief. And of course to make it even more of a shit fest she just had to have Jacob imprint on the spawn. What was this book? Is it a complete joke? A complete mediocre fan fiction joke? |

Yeah I hated that he didn't "bite" her. That would have been hot.
