I think the entire imprinting of the child will be taken out if they make a movie of BD.
How do you explain on screen that this adult male older character is imprinting this child character without it looking illegal? I bet they'd cut all the Quill stuff and Jacob imprinting for a movie marketed by MTV to teens. |

I hope its cut. They can cut Jacob completely for all I care.. but really, I think its creepy. Even though SM wants it to be all swoon, he will be connected to
a piece of Bella forever.. its still completely icky. It hasn't even played well with Twilight fans so mainstream audiences would probably find it even
more gross.. unless they make it seem like its just a friendship and not some "soulmates" crap where its only a matter of time before they get
together.

I think New Moon sucked more than Eclipse but I think if Twilight does well the sequel will be made.. but then I think New Moon will bomb because the it seems
like BD will kill off at least ten percent of fans, the storyline does not follow that well if Twilight sucked you in for E/B, lots of fans will have moved on
by the time the movie comes out, and it seems like the movie at this point is not playing favorably to people outside the fandom. So, overall, I think you are
right. I wish they would have done better special effects so that it might catch on a little for the action sequences. Wires just don't cut it.

Edward's missing for a large chunk of NW and there's too much Jacob in Eclipse and now BD (plus the child imprinting). People would want more Edward
not less.
If they do a sequel. They should combine all the remaining 3 books and just make one sequel. The other 3 books can't stand on their own each as a movie. Skip Eclipse all together. Edward leaves-Volturi drama-Bella saves him-Edward comes back-Deal to change Bella-Wedding-Baby-Change Bella-The end. |

Agreed. People are going to be like WTF if they make New Moon. Twilight plays up B/E so hardcore. Then you get to New Moon and its all Jacob. While people who
read the series might like him.. it won't play over well to switch leading men in a movie series that needs to grab a much larger audience to be
sustainable than a book.
Although, I wonder if thats why Taylor was cast as Jacob.. in case they make it to book four. Because he clearly isn't a rival for Rob's more adult looks. And it will look less disgusting if a guy who looks twelve when Twilight starts ends up with Bella's kid. I would be shocked if they get more than two movies..and the second only because lots of people do like the first book who didn't enjoy the rest. |
