Wow, I'm shocked that I'm in the minority that hasn't walked out. Unless I was seriously disrespected, I would never do that. I mean, I've had jobs that I quit because I was absolutely miserable there, but I definitely would never think to just walk out without giving notice. IMO, part of being an adult is owning up to your responsibilities, and sometimes they're not fun or enjoyable, but I just couldn't imagine not having the decency to give notice and let them find someone else just because the job wasn't right for me.
Yeah, I see that but it's still not an excuse. My parents would have kicked my ass sideways if I did something like that even at the age of 16. I had to give two weeks notice. People get bitched at sooner or later at a job by co workers or customers. You stand your ground, you don't quit.
