Does anyone have any tips for how to care for oily skin. I've had dry-normal skin my entire life, but now my skin is oily and I don't really know how
to care for it. I have way fewer breakouts now, but my skin feels greasy in between washes.

You can use blot sheets to take care of the grease between washes.

I personally really dislike blot papers, but they work well for some. I suggest using a setting powder intended for oil control when you wear makeup and then
using a blotting powder for touch-ups.
Otherwise, as far as a skin car routine goes, look for products intended for oily skin and I always suggest something gentle even if you don't have sensitive skin. Also, a gentle toner may help and remember to continue to uses a moisturizer (just make it oil free). |

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be looking for some new products soon.

I have oily skin too. I do use a supposed oil controller powder over my foundation but sometimes it just doesn't work. I just started recently misting my
face with water after I'm done and my face doesn't get as oily. But I don't know if that's just coincidence lol.
I don't like blotter sheets either. Does anyone have any suggestions on what powder or moisturizer to use to lessen the oilyness? |

I have REALLY oily skin and ever since I started using the Clinique 3 step line the oilyness has really toned down. Also when I wear makeup I use the MAC
prep+prime for face w/spf and it really keeps my makeup on all day even in humid/hot weather I love it!

I have really oily skin too. I use oil blotters but it gets old having to constantly use them throughout the day. A friend of mine recommended a moisturizer
from Merle Norman that helps control shine so I might give it a try. Has anyone else used or heard about it?

I have oily skin and I use dove soap to wash my face and lately I've been using dove day cream. Sometimes when I'm at home for a while and I have to
wash my face for an outing or something the next day, I put a small layer of yogurt on my face (without make up) and I leave it on for about 15-20 minutes.
Yogurt cleans out the pores but doesn't leave the skin rough and dry, depending on your skin but it really cleans my face and leaves my face real smooth
and clean feeling for a few days.

yogurt? really? What kind? lol ... I can just picture myself putting Yoplait Light on my face.
My skins been really good lately, it's just those hot humid days outside when it gets oily... I've been using the Maybelline powder and it doesn't seem to do much.. I'll definitely try Almay! I've never seen Yes to Carrots so I'll keep an eye out for that too... I use to use the Clinique 3-step thing but it just didn't make a difference to me... I still have a lot of it left over. and it was just too much of a process for someone like me lately. As far as cleaning my face goes, I use the Queen Helene's exfoliating scrub thing.. I switch between the Mint one for deep cleaning and the Honey & Oatmeal one for just regular exfoliating. It's the ONLY thing that's worked for me... I've tried so many different kinds... I haven't broken out in a looong time... I'll get a zit or two but it's usually gone within days. At night I just wash it with whatever soap there is.. just to make sure my make up is all off. Lately I've been using Perla, which I'm really not suppose to use for my face but it lightens my scars a little bit. It's supposed to be a bleaching soap for clothes |

Mud/clay masques help oily skin. A lot of people seem to like Queen Helene's masques. They are $3.99 at Ulta.
Also, try not to scrub hard when washing your face. Your skin will produce more oil. |

Regular yogurt is good, I haven't used flavored yogurt but I don't know if it's quite as effective. I guess it works because of the bacterial
cultures in it that makes it yogurt.

for very oily skin or to be shine free all day, use Cosmedicine's Medi Matte, it's the best lotion for oily skin. it also creates a matted look like
you're wearing foundation, or you can get the tinted one. you can get it at sephora. good luck!

I have oily skin and I HAVE to recommend Urban Decay De-Slick! I'm never without it, it's a mattifying powder.

i just switched to Kinerase's Clear Skin Moisture light moisturizer, and it is suppose to cut down sebum. It really works too. I've noticed that I am
not as oily mid-day when I wear it. It's good for oily, acne-prone skin. It's very expensive ($75), but you don't have to use a lot. It got good
reviews on makeup alley as well.
