Totally agree. All of it. It's exciting and also bitter sweet, you know? You grow so attached to these guys that you see on tv every day for 8+
months. It hurts to see them leave. I actually think I'm so sad about Jagr leaving than Tyutin. Tyutin was my favorite but Jagr has a special place with
me. I really do feel lucky to have had him play for the team I root for and do what he did for them and us fans.
jdvpbliss wrote: Couldn't be more right. I will ALWAYS be grateful to him for that. Always. Whatever this team goes on to do will be because he started it. He proved everyone who called him a prima donna and selfish wrong. He was the complete opposite. I really wish he could have stayed a couple of more years and maybe had a chance at getting his number retired, I think he would have earned it. |

I will miss Jagr, I don't think the Rangers wanted to resign him though.

Hey Jody! More Jagr comments... "It was the toughest decision in my life, hockeywise," Jagr told the Canadian Press on Friday. "No question about it. I hate making changes ... I'm thankful for the three years I had in New York. They were great years. I understand that I'm older and the team decided to go in a different direction because they couldn't get the deal done." So do I. So do I, Jagr. It would have been lovely for Jagr to lift the Stanley Cup one more time and do so in a Blueshirt. I know he wanted that so badly for the city of New York and he wanted to do it for the kids on the team just like Mario did it for him. I truly believe he had a great time in NY. It's going to be so strange this upcoming season. I mean, there are still familiar faces on the team, but it's going to be odd not to have the ones who had the most tenure on the team as well as the ones who caused the resurgence of the franchise. Oh well. I wonder who will be the new whipping boy. My money is on Kalinin. And who will be the fan favorite? Now he can be reunited with RachunekI'm sure that was the selling point for Jagr. He will also be playing on the same team as our bratty, Russian prospect, Cherepanov. And hell, now that Jagr is gone hopefully Rozsival will actually shot more often especially on the PP. I still blame the whole coaching staff for our dismal PP last season. There was no excuse for it to suck so bad for the whole season. You see that something is not working so you make adjustments. I really wish he could have stayed a couple of more years and maybe had a chance at getting his number retired, I think he would have earned it. Perhaps they will have night in which they honor #68. I'd like that very much. Here's a couple of videos that were posted on the Rangers official site that I've never seen before: http://rangers.nhl.tv/team/launch.htm?type=fvod&id=17688&catid=543 I love Jagr's response the best. And this video is worth watching because of Shanny. http://rangers.nhl.tv/team/launch.htm?type=fvod&id=17687 |

Anyone have experience ordering a jersey via the official NHL shop store? I have birthday money that I'd like to spend and I'm thinking the purchase of a jersey is in order. If not there, does anyone have suggestions? |

Anyone have experience ordering a jersey via the official NHL shop store? I have birthday money that I'd like to spend and I'm thinking the purchase of a jersey is in order. If not there, does anyone have suggestions? rivercitysports.com. My brother and I got all our jerseys from that place. Its based in Canada, the lettering and numbers are stitched. I know at the NHL store in NYC, they press on the letters and numbers....I don't know if thats the same way the official NHL store online does it, but I know rivercitysports does stitch. Come to think of it, some teams might do press on letters/numbers. I just know the Devils jerseys on stitched, but at the NHL store they press them on. So the jersey really isn't authentic. The store is pretty expensive an authentic jersey is 300 dollars, without customization 250. Here are some more websites, seem to be a bit cheaper http://www.icejerseys.com/ http://www.hockeyoverstock.com/nhl-apparel-nhl-by-team.html looks like hockeyoverstock has the old style jerseys, which are way nicer IMO.

My Devils jerseys from the NHL store are stitched. I think it depends whether you're buying the replica or the premiere.

Thanks a lot, LayneStaley, for sharing those links. Those are very helpful. I just have to make up my damn mind, which is a daily difficult task for me.
And Dolly, are you trying to persuade me to go to the NHL store and spend more money than necessary? |

Why would I try and persuade you to do something like that? I was simply sharing my experience there. Haha. Though if you wanted to come to the city and go on
a rum run that's fine with me.

I saw a show where they put together the new UFA jerseys together and they were pressing the letters/numbers. I guess those were replicas then. How much does a jersey at the store cost? |

Oh Henrik isn't going anywhere. Petr on the other hand it wouldn't shock me.
That C better not go on Gomez's jersey. It should go on Drury's. I think it'll be Drury, Gomez and Naslund as the captains and alternates. |

I really don't think management will make that mistake. I'll be shocked if Drury isn't named captain. I don't even want Gomez to have an A on his jersey. I rather see Rozsival or even Redden wear one. |

This should be fun!
DETROIT -- The only thing left appears to be the official announcement. The long-rumored outdoor game between the Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks appears to be set. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman reportedly met last week with officials from the Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley to finalize details for the third Winter Classic, which will be held Jan. 1 at Wrigley Field. |

Yeah really Rozy has been on the team longer. And I'd rather see Redden with it also. Man I still can't believe he's a Ranger lol.
I am SO PISSED the Rangers aren't getting the outdoor game AGAIN. I was hoping it would be in Yankee Stadium or at least Giants Stadium. Anywho, guys I have a question. I'm going to order a Jagr t-shirt from the Rangers web site but I don't know what size to get. It's obviously not a womens tee so I'm stuck on what to order. I want it fitted but not skin tight where I can't put a light, long sleeved shirt underneath. I'm debating ordering a small and medium and seeing which one fits the way I like it and then just sending the other back, but I'd rather not really do that. Any suggestions? And OMFG I just saw Alyssa Milano has hockey clothes out now too? This ho needs to sit down. (although a couple of things are cute )
Oh wait I see there is a Jagr shirt in the womens section but it's red and not like the blue mens one which I really like. |
