Why is he so afraid? I dont understand. Is he afraid of getting hurt? Is that it? Because she is right, he keeps his emotions detached from her, but at the same time deep inside he is fighting with himself about it.

Maybe he'll care when he realizes she's not always going to be around.

His heartbeat accelerates, his mouth suddenly dry. What would he do if she quit? If he didn't have the option of seeing her everyday? He's taken that for granted, he knows, the way she drops by, sometimes with a purpose, sometimes without. He likes that he doesn't always know when but he knows he'll see her eventually, see her smile and hear her laugh, feel her skin and taste her mouth. What would his day be like if he didn't have that certainty? What would it be like to not have the excuse to call her and tell her random shit about his day and listen to her talk about what crazy antics the other girls have gotten up to? He feels a crippling sense of loss and even though she's just across the kitchen island from him he can't help but feel she's out of his reach.

Ugh, I just want slap him. So are you in love with her Justin? Or are you not? You cant have it both ways. How fair is that?!

Something about the way Justin's eyes are cutting to Amelia every now at then, something like curious concern surfacing quickly before his mask of indifference slips back on and Amelia watching with her usual stoic expression, something about the innocence of it, the simplicity of him standing in their kitchen, helping her open a bottle of wine. It's moments like this that what they are doing behind Amelia's back is almost too much for Charlotte to bear, the idea that he's really not hers playing out so plainly in front of her that no amount of petty excuses or justification can make up for her sins.

Sigh. Oh Charlie. Get out. Get out! Its not worth it.

After Charlie left, reading that interaction between the Idiot and Amelia, I felt guilty for feeling sorry for Amelia. lol. But that was well written. Heather, you did a good job of making her almost human, and showing why Justin fell in love with her in the first place. As I was reading I was going, "wow...she really is human." LOL

These 3 frustrate me!! Justin with his idiotic behavior, Charlie for letting herself get too deep not only with Justin, but with a job that she doesnt like, and Amelia for showing her sometimes good attributes of the person she once was, and the person Justin once fell deep in love with. Heather, I would love to know more about Amelia. I feel like she has many layers that could explain how she got to where she is now.

Anyhoo... awesome update as always!! Cant wait for me!!
