wedding? Well she just broke off her engagement last night because she found out her ring was cubic zirconia (or however you spell it). So crazy, everyone
keeps calling her but she won't pick up her phone. I just got the mass email she sent out.

If I found out my engagement ring is CZ, nothing would change.

She broke it off because it's cubic zirconia? Please, at least he didn't go into debt for the thing. Plus, many of those cubic zirconia rings can only
be identified under a jewelers loop.

It would depend on how it was handled. If he was upfront about it, of course I would accept, but if he was all "and look at this HUGE DIAMOND I got
you!" and found out he was lying, I'd probably break it off...not because I have to have a real diamond, but because he's a lying crazy
person.

Did she actually write in the email that she broke it off because her ring is CZ?

If I was told my ring was a diamond and it wasnt, I'd be pissed.

i can't blame her for being upset, though. i mean, i know the cost of the ring isn't what is important, but it is important that my husband is
honest w/ me. not a good sign of things to come if he's already trying to deceive you.

It's not like it's that big of a lie. He might have lied about it so he didn't have to see the disappointment from her. Maybe he didn't have
the money or he couldn't find a good enough reason to blow a huge amount of money on a small piece of jewelry.
