this may seem like a strange question but could someone advise me on the best way to apply pencil eyeliner. i have read numerous articles , some saying into
the lash line and some say as right above the lash line. can someone give me some good tips ? thanks so much

Having a steady hand is really all you need. If you put your elbow on a steady surface and trace a line that way, I find it's much easier. Going near the
lashes, above the lashes, outward, forward etc. Doesn't matter because it depends on what look you are going for.

Have you ever tried a liquid eyeliner? Personally, I am one of those weirdos who cannot use pencil eyeliner. No matter what I do, it always looks crappy.
Maybe you're the same way?

Short strokes are key!
When I put pencil liner on the top lashline, I kind of have to pull my eyelid out a little just bit so the top lashline is straight and that helps me (but some people will tell you not to do this because it could create wrinkles, but I do it anyways, it's what works for me ).
When I put pencil liner on the waterline I find short strokes to be beneficial, too. It's easier to create both a straight line that way, and it doesn't tug as much. I always put the liner as close to the lashline as possible, but it's usually just above, I guess. |
