Posts: 30809 (04/09/2008 12:49 PM) Best Fan Fic Writer '08 Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	It really shouldn't be so hard to think of a happy story that's out there, but sitting here trying to think of any it seems like almost all the "everything's nice" stories I've personally read aren't the greatest quality - the only story I could think to recommend has long since been taken down by the author. Damn. I think I need to echo Ginny's request, there can't be literally no happy stories of decent quality so I'm going to assume I'm just looking in the wrong places

That's the problem I've run into with stories before, the happy ones aren't always particularly well-written. The thing is, I don't mind a little bit of angst and Justin certainly doesn't have to be perfect but since he's such a funny, charming, nice guy in real life - how come people don't write him that way more often?

And yeah, they're not as popular because most of us like sadness and drama so we have something to complain about and hate that they can't be happy. But I am proud of the happy trilogy I gave Justin (well, the last two stories, anyway ), so it's not impossible. It's just hard.

It's harder to do happy and still make it well written, I think, so my hat's well and truly off to those who do it so well because I suck at it!!

I guess what I really hate is reading stories where Justin is characterized as an asshole until something or someone comes along to change him. I have no idea if any of you characterize him that way since I rarely read anything but slash and that's not posted here, is it? I'm just tired of that characterization so I was looking for stories where he isn't that way. So, a couple people mentioned stories but gave no links: I am proud of the happy trilogy I gave Justin (well, the last two stories, anyway ), so it's not impossible. It's just hard. I don't think I realized that you're an author Ash, can I have the links for your stories? Look Your Way by Mere, and A Love Worth Learning by Heather Are these Justin stories?
