I go hard for Jesse and Shia

Former 'N SYNC star LANCE BASS felt "completely betrayed" when JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE announced he was leaving the boyband in 2004. Speaking honestly about the band's split for the first time in his new autobiography, Bass admits he was angry that Timberlake waited two years after the group went on hiatus in 2002 to reveal his news. In the upcoming Out Of Sync, Bass reveals Timberlake blamed the group's break-up on his four bandmates - suggesting they were interested in other ventures. Bass writes, "He didn't think any of us was operating in the best interest of the band. I asked him what he meant by that, and he said, `Well, you know, when y'all did your movie,' meaning Joey (Fatone) and me (and their 2001 film On The Line)... "I couldn't believe it. That sounded like the lamest excuse imaginable. Joey and I looked at each other in amazement... "According to Justin the whole reason for the break-up of 'N Sync was everyone else's fault? That was crazy! All of us had done nothing but wait around for him to feel he was ready to start work on a new 'N Sync album... "And hadn't Justin made a movie (2000's Model Behaviour) the year before we did ours?... "I felt completely betrayed... It pissed me off that Justin's life got set up perfectly before he came back to the rest of us... Justin's time to become a solo star had arrived." So, all of the ellipses means words and sentences are being left out. I'm interesting to know WHAT exactly is being omitted from this article. I don't think these emotions surprise me at all though. The reasoning Justin presented is strange, but eh. Whatever.

Hmmm. so, he is an ass. Sorry, but that is horrible. You don't do that to your friends. I know you asked for it to be friendly, but I can't. That was just mean to string them along like that.

And man I'm not one to talk because I'd completely avoid the situation all together. He stepped up to the plate to tell them, just a little late. And as a JC fan...maybe about a year late, because that still burns a little, if I'm being honest. It sucks that JC just didn't know at the time that it was over, because I do truly believe that he might have looked at his solo project a little differently if he had known.
A little late? 2 years is not a little late. I think he's a total asshole and things like this keep confirming it. I think it sucked for them all, but especially JC since he made that CD thinking he would go back.

I really think he had full plans to go back to *NSYNC when he left. But a lot of unexpected shit happened and plans change. That's what life is about. I hope their conversation didn't go exactly that way, but clearly, Justin wasn't an expert at handling things so well back in 2004. The guys are obviously over it, so I hope everyone else gets there soon.
I hope you're not talking about me! Because I'm definitely waiting and seeing. My responses are in regard to what's being presented so far--I'm not making any further assumptions about anything. That's why the book needs to be here NOW.
I'm going to assume Lance isn't going to lie about how this went down, seeing as he is still friends with Justin.

So that being said, I think Justin handled it very poorly if that was the extent of it. Again, we don't know the rest of that story, so I'm going to wait until the book gets here to decide if Justin deserves to be smacked upside the head for what happened and how he dealt with it.
That's the thing. I want to know about the rest of the conversation, how it ended etc. I'm thinking neither Justin nor his people have read this book though.

I'm sure Lance gave him fair warning, kind of like he gave us a warning in his blog. I'm thinking he probably told Justin that obviously, it was a part of the book, but it was written in the perspective of how he felt at the time of the split. Or at least I hope he had the common sense to do that!

I can't say I disagree with the "talentless famewhore" comment either. I wouldn't have put it so harshly but since it's already out there, can't say they're wrong. People who do tell-all books usually do it for two reasons: 1) publicity/fame, 2)resentment towards another person.

Clearly there's not enough of his own life, lol. Justin has his own life. It's not his fault that he has a life and wasn't just sitting around waiting for his group members. You've gotta make your own choices in life especially if you're an adult. You can't sit around and depend on other people to determine your future. If he would've told the guys sooner, they could've taken advantage of what they had and whatnot. And I agree about the solo album for JC part

It's not a tell all book, its his life story. People wanted to know what his life was like, so he's writing about it. Justin/Britney thing was part of Lance's life. He was best friends with Justin, and I bet Britney was like a little sister to the rest of the guys. And he isn't talentless, the boy has a lot of talent. You can't just become an astronaut, that needs talent. I doubt he'd be on Broadway without talent. And he had to have talent to be in *NSYNC
