Former 'N SYNC star LANCE BASS felt "completely betrayed" when JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE announced he was leaving the boyband in 2004. Speaking honestly about the band's split for the first time in his new autobiography, Bass admits he was angry that Timberlake waited two years after the group went on hiatus in 2002 to reveal his news. In the upcoming Out Of Sync, Bass reveals Timberlake blamed the group's break-up on his four bandmates - suggesting they were interested in other ventures. Bass writes, "He didn't think any of us was operating in the best interest of the band. I asked him what he meant by that, and he said, `Well, you know, when y'all did your movie,' meaning Joey (Fatone) and me (and their 2001 film On The Line)... "I couldn't believe it. That sounded like the lamest excuse imaginable. Joey and I looked at each other in amazement... "According to Justin the whole reason for the break-up of 'N Sync was everyone else's fault? That was crazy! All of us had done nothing but wait around for him to feel he was ready to start work on a new 'N Sync album... "And hadn't Justin made a movie (2000's Model Behaviour) the year before we did ours?... "I felt completely betrayed... It pissed me off that Justin's life got set up perfectly before he came back to the rest of us... Justin's time to become a solo star had arrived." So, all of the ellipses means words and sentences are being left out. I'm interesting to know WHAT exactly is being omitted from this article. I don't think these emotions surprise me at all though. The reasoning Justin presented is strange, but eh. Whatever.

Justin Justin Justin, is all I can say. Those other 4 really wanted *NSYNC to come back, and still to this day, at least 3 do. Why hasn't Justin been man enough to admit he's the reason why?

But some JC fans were told that JC didn't know *NSYNC was over until after Schizo came out, which was why he did Schizo the way he did at the time he did. He was still writing songs for *NSYNC, who cares what the label thinks when he's putting out one solo album and then going back to *NSYNC? It kind of sucks that it went down that way, but whatever live and learn.
They all got screwed, besides Justin. This puts more light on his comment about Britney and Justin as well.

Exactly. And during those 2 years, keep saying things about not being able to wait to get back in the studio with them.(which he kept saying during Justified days.)

If he wanted out of the group he should've came right out and said it and not blame others or wait around for two years to say so. He handled that really bad. I would be pissed too.

I definitely think it took a while for him to decide to end it. The blaming them thing is not cool though. I certainly hope there was more to it than that.
Well I would be blaming JT if I was one of them. The person basically decided the thing that made you famous was no more! And what hurts even more, is when you see him in interviews these days, he rarely ever thanks the guys for getting him were he was. If it wasn't for him, there probably wouldn't be the justin you have today

I understand if Justin didn't know right away what he wanted to do but theres no excuse for blaming the other guys or making up lame excuses for leaving the group. I'm not jumping on any bandwagon I'm a fan. I love that kid just as much as the next fan but I'm not going to defend him for the way he handled this.
