I upgraded my Dad's unlocked iphone that was being used with a different carrier and now it doesn't work
Now mind you I thought I was upgrading itunes at first and just let it go, so it was part stupidity on my part for not paying attention. He's gonna be so pissed. |

Yeah there was an article last week about the update that at&t was sending was causing unlocked phones to no longer work.

I didn't know about this article until it gave the "invalid SIM" or whatever message. I just thought the update was updating features, not making
unlocked phones useless. gahhh.
ETA: an unlocked phone can be used with any carrier. My Dad was using it with Rogers, not AT&T |

I don't think it was fully to stop unlocked phones but it does. I'm sure someone has figured out a fix. Goggle.
