One thing that has also helped me is having an alarm clock with a light that gradually lightens the room before the alarm goes off. When my alarm goes off in a mostly dark room I have the hardest time getting up -- but this clock (http://www.hammacher.com/publish/70460.asp) has really helped me. By the time my alarm goes off the room is fairly light and it helps me get up more easily.
