I just do a lot of ab work every day (or, what I consider to be a lot).  My routine is this:

- run 1.5 miles
- timed sit-ups
- timed push-ups
- 3x12 curls
- 3x12 squats
- 3x12 of some other arm exercise with the curl bar (don't know what it's called, but it's good for the shoulders, neck and back)
- 3x12 bicycle sit-ups
- 3 x 60 seconds each of this ab exercise where I lay flat on my back with my hands under my butt, and lift my feet off of the floor about 10" while    keeping my legs completely straight. 
- timed sit-ups (again)
- timed push-ups (again)

My ab and leg strength is 'meh.'  All of my power is in my upper body.  If I really watched what I ate, and dumped a few pounds, I think I'd be pretty cut in the arm and back region.  OH well...I like food too much
