If it were a private daycare, then it wouldn't be a problem...but it's odd otherwise. I'd ask someone about it just as a question because I'd be curious!

I work at a daycare where up until about a year ago, the kids had to fold their hands and say "Thank you for our friends; thank you for our families," before they ate. I found it to be an odd little thing to say before you chow down, but whatever.

Anyway, a parent did take issue with it though and we haven't had the kids say it since. Which is good, because it always made me a little uncomfortable personally.
