Well, as far as I know they never try to put names in Chinese characters or anything... if they can't even recognize the names to know who to vote for, they shouldn't be voting.

I don't know how you can be a citizen of the country and not speak the language... how will you pass the citizenship test? And if you're born here... how can you grow up and go to school and NOT learn the language?


One can take the Citizenship test in whatever language one chooses.

And it's fairly obvious that you can recognize names without knowing the language. And, if you receive a ballot in Chinese, the names are in Chinese characters.
