The luge/skeleton/bobsled track was approved by the IOC so if anyone is to blame for it being too dangerous, then it's them, not Vancouver.

But I really enjoyed watching them, except for the Opening Ceremonies, I thought that was boring. I'm really hoping that the Closing Ceremonies are a lot better.
Don't forget about the federation that governs Luge and all the other sliding events. They are partly to blame. It's not entirely on the IOC shoulders. They should have saw that course was too dangerous for their athletes more than the IOC. The IOC runs the whole Olympics but it is the federations of each sport that are actually in charge how the event runs and the every day details.
