DO NOT go with not your daughter's jeans. they're horrible... i know some people are incredibly big fans of them, but i don't care for them at all. we sell them in one of the departments where i work, and i feel like so often people come up to me looking for a diff. pair of jeans because their NYDJ's end up saggy.

in general, you want to look for "trouser style" jeans to streamline your look. if you're short, i'd recommend those with heels.

i really enjoy straight legs jeans on all body types. it has the appeal of skinny leg without the lack of curve space. cookie johnson has a line called "CJ by Cookie Johnson". try the faith straight leg, but if they're on sale, don't get them! the newest version is a better value; the fabrics have been upgraded but they are from a diff. supplier and the company was able to get amazing deals. they have a 40% stretch and recovery rate, so you don't have to worry about them sagging from stretching to get over your curves.

most importantly, ALTERATIONS ARE YOUR FRIEND!! don't expect jeans to fit off the rack! very few women can find jeans that fit perfectly. for the cost of having the waist taken in and a couple inches off the bottom hemmed, it's worth it.

good luck!
