I kind of feel better that someone else does this. I'm terrible with names - I can remember faces, just not names. I haven't tried this, but I've heard it helps if you repeat the person's name when they introduce themselves. You might try that. Let me know if it works!

Yes, it does help that exactly what I do but I also grew up in a place were you had to remember people's name. In my culture you never refer to someone as she, her, you, him or sort of pronoun like that only first name is acceptable.  So, you get used to remembering people's name.
