With my daughter we had two names I picked the first name and him middle name. I called her by her first name, he calls her by her middle name. My son is was easy we both liked the same name =)

I used to babysit my neighbor's kids growing up. Their littlest girl was Meghan Rose. We all called her Meghan, but her daddy called her Rosie (it probably helped that her little cheeks were so rosey all the time. ) I just thought it was so cute, though.

And yeah, I have names I like a lot, and I have very specific ideas about what names will never do for children of mine. I'm single at the moment, but if I were to get pregnant in the future, I'd definitely want a compromise on the name(s), because I wouldn't want my SO to hate our child(ren)s name.
