I have a friend like that as well.

My ex did it the most though. The time that comes to mind was when I asked 3 times about having plans on a certain day because if we weren't going to do anything, I was going to go with my friend somewhere and then out to dinner with her (she lives an hour away and was going to be in my area). He said that we definitely had plans. So that day, he sends me a text at 6 saying that he's going to be buying an iPhone so he was running late. That pissed me off to begin with, because he had the whole friggen day off, but I was like whatever. So I waited around for him and he didn't say anything, so I text him at 8:30 asking him where the fuck he is - claimed he's still at the store but was leaving shortly. 9:30, I still hadn't heard anything from him, so I called him up, pretty furious - and he couldn't understand why I was so mad because he was supposedly still at the Apple store. At that point, I basically reamed him out and told him not to even bother coming over because I had to wake up for work at 5 am.

But, I was the one being "ridiculous"
