I did this, and I felt like shit the day after my Cheat Day. I mean, I would make lists all week of the foods that I was going to get for it, basically pig out, and then have major remorse the next day. It was an awful mindfuck. It's nice in theory but it did not work for me.

My advice is not to deprive yourself, but don't clean your plate, either. You mentioned getting those serving size ice creams to satisfy your cravings. How about eating just half of one of those? I've eaten a spoonful or two of ice cream and then walked away. It's hard, but sometimes that's what I have to do. Also, I rarely buy junk food anymore. If it's not around for me to eat, I count on my laziness to keep me from going out and getting it.
