I actually grew up with a "strange" name that noone could ever pronounce and was called Adrianne and Marianne by everyone. That's one of the reasons my kids have "normal" names. I hated my name growing up.

I totally feel your pain. No one can ever pronounce my name and it gets butchered to death. I'm kinda used to it by now. I want my kids to have names that are easy to pronounce, but not overly common.

For a boy I like Damian and if it's a girl she'll be Lorelai. I have a feeling people are gonna butcher that one too.

As for the name, Riot. I just wonder why? There are a lot of unique alternatives that don't sound so...harsh.
