What about this poster?
You are aware that in the future you are judged by your name, right? They did a huge study and even Tyra Banks did a show about this subject.
People with the better jobs and the more acomplished people generally had a stronger, normal name. Employers also take potential employess more seriously when they had a normal or general name. You can't compare you naming your child against what the stars name their kids? Are you serious?
These kids, Suri, Apple, Kingston, Zuma, etc... will never have to worry about their future. They most likely, wil never have to work a day in their life.
They will never have to worry going into a job interview and being discriminated because of their name.Even in school age, they will be private schooled or home schooled. They will be closely guarded so they won't be bullied for their stupid name. So unless you have millions of dollars, your kid being named that is screwed. Here is a little fact about a Music legend kid being named a stupid name, like the one you are giving your son. David Bowie's son changed his name when he was of age because he hated his name his parents gave him.

Okay, yeah. That's just rude. image You're right, that person is over the top.

Oh...just saw who the poster on that one is. Not surprising.

I don't know who said the original quote and, personally, I don't care for JJB drama at all so it doesn't even mean anything to me, but I will say that they do have a point, with the exception of the harsh bolded part. My first name is all sorts of fucked up and not a "normal" name by any standard. Strong, perhaps, but not normal. Granted and thankfully, I work in an industry where your merit, experience and education are a major factor for job positions. But, I worry when I'm go for promotion and take on more responsibilities that will force me to interact with the public sector. How am I suppose to be taken seriously? How can I introduce myself and not have to follow-up with the story of my name? It is incredibly frustrating to have to do this after every single introduction.
And let's not even talk about grammar school.
