I won't say where I work....but it's a housewares store in the mall. Retail hell. It's a very clic-y place...and I never have really "fit in" (mostly because I have an IQ that's in the triple digits and I actually know about history and movies (apparently that's useless).

It's just not an emotionally friendly place. Full of double-standards.
I'm sure you're not a loser but you're only giving them what they want when you respond this way. Stop letting them feel like they're better than you. You're not being the bigger person by letting them treat you like shit, it just makes you look like a punk. You don't owe them shit. You better dig down and pull out your inner bitch. image

Sometimes if you're a bit reclusive and to yourself, people take that personally. Most people don't understand even the mildest cases of introversion, only others like you do. You don't have to kiss those assholes' behinds or anything but you should try to be mindful of what it is you're putting out there that they might be reacting to. Not saying you'd need to change, but at least you'd know. I doubt the situation would change much since you've been working w/ these folks for a while but you definitely can't let other people drag you down like that.

They're not capable of anything you're not. It's easier to slap them down than you think.

Yes.

And this passive aggressive shit above doesn't cut it with rude people. Sometimes it's more effective to just be a full blazened bitch and tell them to go sit and spin somewhere. I mean ... it works for me.
