Yes but she'd probably still have gotten a ticket. A rolling stop is illegal for a stop sign. A rolling stop is yielding, not stopping. If the cop was that much of a hard ass considering the sign was completely blocked, I doubt doing a rolling stop would have kept the OP from getting a ticket either.

I'd probably lay on my horn if someone practically came to a complete stop every time there was an intersection. That's inhibiting the flow of traffic. Some people might do that but they're usually 75 years old and shouldn't be driving anymore.



I have a friend when she drives she does a proper stop at EVERY stop sign. Drives me nuts! Like slow down look both ways then goooooo, it's not like we're on a major roadway with high traffic! It's a side streets that gets like one car an hour driving down it A rolling stop will suffice damnit!
