I was in an accident where All State paid for a rental while they totalled out my car and elected not to pay the extra $20 b/c they weren't paying insurance. My insurance company wouldn't foot the bill and I said "Eh, I'll be fine". On the SAME day I was set to return the car to Enterprise, I was in an accident and held liable for the damages to the car. I could've saved $2,700 if I'd paid the $20.
So you got in 2 accidents in a short period of time? That's some bad luck right there. (Or bad driving.. )

Anyway, I think most, if not all american express cards have rental coverage too.
