Yeah, when they came out, they were being marketed as an R&B group, with their first album. In Canada, BSB made it mainstream over here in 1996, and I would say 98 Degrees came out in 97/98? I think they even broke out here even before *NSYNC did.

Same with BSB, their first album was a lot more R&B, and then they shifted more to pop.
