i've had laproscopic surgery before. I had a cyst on my ovary and they went in and removed it. It's not that bad. I had three small incisions. Two just near my pubic line and one in my belly button. They pump gas into you during the surgery so it's a bit painful afterwards because the gas has no where to escape and it goes up ...so you get shoulder pain. Just be careful with pants afterwards...my incisions got infected because my pant waist kept rubbing on my incisions.
This is what I would have said. I had surgery to go in and see if I had endo. The only uncomfortable part was after waking up and still having the gas in me. When I woke up, I instantly wanted to sit up and the pain in the shoulders was awful when I sat up. My mom called the nurse in and she explained about the gas, that when you sit up, the gas gets pushed up causing the shoulder pain. She told me to lie flat for a couple hours in the recovery room while I let the gas escape and after those couple hours, I got up and was fine. I was a little sore where the stitches were but after a couple of days, they disintegrated on their own and everything was good.
