Sally Field over Bette Midler. I did not see Norma Rae, so I am partially biased but Bette Midler deserved the Oscar for the Rose.
Like I said in our post that night, I'm SO torn on this one because I HAVE seen both movies.

However, I've got a similar opinion to yours when it comes to Holly Hunter winning for The Piano over Angela Bassett in What's Love Got To Do With It, cause I've never seen The Piano.

And I've got a very unpopular one, and it's mostly biased though I saw both movies - The Silence Of The Lambs winning Best Picture over Beauty And The Beast. And I'm miffed Wall-E didn't win any sound awards. Sound design was REALLY important in that movie because of the lack of dialogue.

OH! Duh, can't believe I just remembered this - Grace Kelly winning Best Actress for The Country Girl over Judy Garland in A Star Is Born.
