Do you agree with this:

Quality of life is something that is totally different for a dog than
a person. So don't assign what you think quality of life is on to
Honey. Dogs are happy if they have a warm spot to sleep, food in
their tummy and love and affection of their owner. Dogs don't give
two hoots about how they get from point A to B. It is people that
have hang ups about disabilities.

Someone told me when I was deciding to put my dog down that dogs also have a deep sense of pride. They need to feel like an active contributing part of the pack (read: family). They told me that dogs don't like to deficate and urinate without control and that even if you clean it up and are nice to them they still know they shouldn't do that.

I'm not saying by any means that the OP should consider anything at this point other than going to the vet. I'm also not saying you're wrong because I do agree completely with what you're saying. My dads dog (and my dogs momma) gothit by a car at 10 mo. - they had numerous surgeries to save her and her leg but had to amputate. She doesn't remember what it's like to have 4 legs and she is a huge lab. She is full of happiness.
