This happened to me too with a friend of mine. I bought 3 tickets to the JT concert for January 14, 2007. One was for me, one was for her, and the other was for her roommate. My friend paid for her ticket, but her roommate ended up getting kicked out for not paying her half of the rent in time, so my friend said she'd just have her boyfriend take and pay for the third ticket. I realize now I should have said no and given the third ticket to someone of my choosing, since I did put them on my credit card, not let them go to some guy I hadn't even met yet.
Anyway, my friend and I went to this event earlier on the day of the concert and she was supposed to pay me for the event ticket and the 3rd JT ticket for her BF that day. She gets to my house and while we're in my car driving to this first event, she tells me her kid suddenly got a rash all over her the night before and she had to go to the hospital, so she could only pay some of what she owed. I said I understood and that she could pay the rest next time she got paid.
We kept in contact for about 2 months after that day. She said she mailed the check, but I never got it, so she thought it got lost or someone in her complex stole it. Anyway, it's been a little over 9 months since she has responded to anything and she still owes me $93 for her BF's ticket, so I gave up.
To the OP, good luck trying to get your money, but I don't think you're going to get it voluntarily.
